LSoHTuesday Oct. 4 – Little Shop of Horrors

This is the original 1960 campy, cult classic, horror comedy release directed by twisted cinema auteur Roger Corman. The story of a clumsy young man who nurtures a plant only to discover that it’s carnivorous, forcing him to kill to feed it! Songs from the musical of the same name will be sung after the showing!

Prior to the feature short films by Minnesota Filmmakers and more will be shown!

Tuesday Oct. 11 –
 SolitudeSolitude

Solitude (2014) is a haunting film that follows the story of a man finding an old storage locker filled with a family’s history, and thus begins a journey to discover the truth behind mysterious occurrences in a small town. Directed by Minnesota Filmmakers Taylor Scott Olson and Livingston Oden.

Also screening classic film trailers recently exhumed from the Crypts of SuperMonster市City!

Tuesday Oct. 18 –
 Triple Feature!!! The Curse of Yig; Bad Egg; & Super 8mm Ray Harryhausen Tribute!

The evening opens with MN Filmmaker Ryan Schaddelee’s short Bad Egg (2013) which follows a young girl who finds something that should have remained hidden – dire consequences ensue!yig_poster_amy02b

The Curse of Yig (2104): An award winning adaptation of an H. P. Lovecraft tale that follows a young academic searching for an infamous snake god. Directed by MN Filmmaker Paul Von Stoezel.

Timothy Price’s 8mm tribute to Ray Harryhausen includes excerpts from the classic films King Kong, Godzilla, & more show on Super 8mm projection! Timothy is also the author of the cult classic Big in Japan! which you can find at Amazon.com

GiantSpiderTuesday Oct. 25 – The Giant Spider

This 2014 release by Minnesota Filmmaker Christopher R. Mihm starts with the radiation left behind by atomic weapons testing that creates a gigantic killer mutant arachnid. The hungry beast seems intent on devouring the entire county!  Mihm has been featured in SCI-FI MagazineScreem, Famous Monsters of Filmland, and for over ten years has been making films that pay homage to 1950s-era drive-in cinema!

Also screening will be classic film trailers and more recently exhumed from the crypts of SuperMonster市City!
